Clovelly Pocket Park
Graymade delivered the civil construction package for the Clovelly and Carrington Road Pocket Park redevelopment, providing the foundation and supporting infrastructure for this unique public space. The scope included construction of reinforced concrete footings, footing beams, pier foundations, retaining walls, mass concrete pads, and associated civil works required to support the broader park upgrade.
The project also included the construction of elevated timber decking and integrated seating platforms, featuring structural timber bearers, joists and decking systems installed over reinforced concrete foundations. Working within a constrained urban environment and around existing underground services, the works required careful excavation, service protection and coordination to ensure compliance with Sydney Water asset protection requirements.
Graymade successfully delivered the key civil nfrastructure that underpins the park's architectural elements, creating durable public-use spaces while enhancing accessibility, functionality and long-term asset performance. The completed works contribute to a high-quality community destination that provides seating, gathering and recreational opportunities for local residents and visitors.
